David is completing his 26th year of service with Anderson University, serving in dual capacities as the Director of Seminary Advancement and the Director of the Center for Christian Leadership, the graduate School of Theology. David received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Anderson University (BA, '77; MA '87) He has additionally received a management certification (CM; '90) through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (on the campus of James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA). David also serves as the Director of the Gustav Jeeninga Museum of Bible & Near Eastern Studies.
David is the author of the 1999 nationally distributed book, Four Seasons of Leadership. Additionally, he has written nearly 50 nationally published articles, as well as contributed to the book, A New Paradigm of Leadership: A Vision of Excellence for 21st Century Organizations, with authors like Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, Peter Senge, and Peter Drucker. He has edited nearly a dozen curricular manuals as well as authored others used nationally for theological and biblical studies. David has completed his second book with Dr. Rebecca Haskett, Metamorphosis: Developing your Emotional Intelligence for a Successful Life and Effective Relationships (2005).
David has been teaching at Anderson University since 1987. He teaches in the ADVANCE Degree Completion Program (Personal Values & Organizational Ethics; and Leadership Course) and teaches An Introduction to Archaeology & History of the Ancient Near East. Additionally, he has presented nearly 150 seminars and workshops across the country for communities and organizations.
