The Nicholson Award is an annual award given by the Anderson University
Student Government Association. It was created in honor of President Robert
Nicholson to recognize and appreciate the outstanding achievements of Anderson
University personnel. Excerpts of all persons nominated are given to the
Executive Cabinet, the Student Senate, and the Student Court, who then vote on
which candidates they think best represent the mission of AU and fulfill the
criteria of a Nicholson Award recipient. One staff member and one faculty
member are chosen.
The staff member chosen this year was Mrs. Carol Whetsel.
Nominations for Carol included the following comments:
"Carol Whetsel keeps the School of Business running successfully."
"She always graciously helps each student while still completing her work
for the faculty."
"She learns not just the students' names, but she gets to know the
students. She is the heart of the School of Business. She knows the faculty and
the students. She should be honored for her tireless efforts for the students
of the School of Business."
